The Art and Times of Jim Lawson
I've been meaning to pick that series up but it is kind of hard to find. Is there anything extra in the trade than what is in the normal issues?
Artwise, not really. There is a short story in the back of the TPB but it's only 6 pages. More worthy though, is a Steve Bissette introduction chronicling the history of dino and dino-related comics.
Hoping to get the trade and issue 7-8 from Mirage site in a near future. And sorry abour asking now ,Jim... are you re-releasing Paleo? or another series related with the book? I think i missed some info before. Thanks a lot.
Re: Paleo- Nothing's been published since issue 8. Bissette and I were going to do 5 issues together, with him writing and me doing the art. 2 were actually done, yet I never released them basically waiting for the other 3 scripts. The thing I'm working on now is a 72 page story that I intend to release as a TPB, called LONER. The absence and reappearance of the book is entirely my fault. I work on it as I find time, which hasn't been a whole heck of a lot lately. I'm making an effort to be better about this, and I hope to have this book out sometime this year.
Jim, I am interested in knowing a bit more about how the writing process and the art come together in a comic book to make the final product. Do you think you can post a sample of comic book writing, from Murph or someone else, before the artist has a chance to start turning it into a comic book?Also, it would be cool to see some new Paleo come out. Keep us posted.
Awesome news about the new TPB.Thanks Jim.
-->> ..wait wait wait.. wasn't there already a collected PALEO ? ? ..i m mixed up here..
The collected Paleo is first 6 issues i guess. This is a new, different Original Graphic Novel project if i am not wrong.
Exactly right. The collected Paleo contained the first 6 issues. 2 single issues followed. This new material I'm working on will be a stand alone sorta mega story- hence why I'm referring to it as a TPB.
