Awesome! I love the the contrast in your art. Lost of deep blacks and bright whites. Also, great composition. Coming up with a believable yet dynamic pose is something I really need to work on.
The Don mini-series, I'm guessing will be out sometime around this September, and will feature covers colored by Steve Lavigne. As for the plot, I don't want to give too much away, but I will say this: back in TMNT vol. 4, issue 9- Donatello visits a secret and mysterious room in the sewers where, strapped to a wall were the remains of the Baxter Stockman robot. At that time, it was established that it had been 4+ years since their last visit. I wanted to write a story about what occurred in that period of time. What actually got written was in the day and days immediately following Baxter's placement in the room. I really liked what Pete seemed to be trying to do at that time- trying to show a different side to Don, a perhaps "darker" side. Hopefully I succeeded.
Damn I hope so also Jim, that's one of my fave parts, I'm always up for more stories related to Baxter he's one of my fave characters. Btw is that a foot soldier?
Finally! Glad to hear about Don's room. I always wanna know more details about this mysterious place...
BTW, I love this side of Donny -- his secrets from brothers and own danger games ) I absolutely sure what your story will be awesome concluding of all four mini-series!
sorry my bad, it's hard for me to tell these days since the foot have taken on the look of the 2k3 cartoon in the modern comics. Not that I mind, but that's sort of why it confused me.
Wow, that looks great. Who will be coloring it?

Oh, wow. That is really beautiful. As cover art I imagine it's going to be colored, but I really like the drama it has in b&w.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Don is bashing a robot not a foot soldier.
ReplyDeleteDavid got it right.
ReplyDeleteSweet! Do I get a prize? :P
